Is Goofy a Dog?

One that has been running wild over the last month or two is wondering if Goofy is a cow or a dog. Some of them simply never need to happen, and this is most certainly one of them. People are polling others. First of all, I know not everyone knows every single thing about Disney and some may really have no clue that Goofy is a dog. There are those, though, who you are sure…know better, but for some reason, they are playing into this whole madness. At times, they have even appeared to be dating even though Clarabelle was engaged to Horace Horsecollar all those years ago. How much sense does that make?

I loved Barbie as a little girl. I remember my first one was a ballerina Barbie, complete with some sort of crown thing that was stuck in her head. My first Ken was a roller-skating ken, with roller skates, black shorts and jacket that had some sort of holographic print down the side. I always found it strange that a ballerina would date a roller-skater, but hey, I made it work. Both the aforementioned had height disadvantages and were too short for Barbie!

Needless to say, I loved them.

The beloved, clumsy character was born in In , he officially changed his name to “Goofy” after starring in the animated film “Goofy and Wilbur. The name change was a genius marketing move for Goofy as he has become one of the most beloved Disney characters of all time and a member of Mickey Mouse’s inner circle.
